Alias, creating alias to a commands on Terminal

Creating alias to commands on Terminal

You can add an alias to Terminal commands in 2 ways:

1. Using alias command, on Terminal use this sintax to add the alias. Therefore, that will hold until you close Terminal window:

2. To add this permanently, you should add the commands to ~/.bashrc or ~/.bash_aliases (Create if doesn’t exist).

That’s it. You’ve added an alias permanently.
For just a few aliases (like one or two), use .bashrc. Otherwise I recommend you to use .bash_aliases.

Bye.
